We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to own the reconciliation and revenue assurance function. You will be the first line of defence ensuring every naira of income is posted, every GL account balances, and every regulatory obligation is met on time.

What You Will Do

• Perform daily reconciliation of cash accounts, NIP inward/outward settlements, POS/card settlements, and VAS float balances

• Run the daily revenue assurance checks — verify loan interest accruals, FD accruals, NIP fees, stamp duty, POS commissions, and VAS commissions are fully posted

• Prepare monthly reconciliations: Fixed Deposit register vs GL, loan portfolio vs GL, WHT payable schedules, deferred fee amortisation, and the full trial balance review

• Ensure WHT deductions on FD and savings interest (individual and corporate) are computed accurately and remitted to FIRS by the 21st of each month

• Monitor and clear all suspense accounts daily — zero tolerance at month-end

• Investigate revenue leakage, document root cause, raise correcting entries, and report findings to the Head of Finance

• Support the month-end close process and contribute data to CBN regulatory returns (MFBR series)

What We Are Looking For

• 3 – 5 years of banking experience in a finance, operations, or reconciliation role

• Strong working knowledge of GL accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and bank reconciliation

• Familiarity with NIP/NIBSS settlement, interbank placements, FD operations, and loan accounting

• Exposure to IFRS 9 loan classification (Stage 1/2/3), ECL provisioning, and EIR fee amortisation is a strong advantage

• Advanced Excel skills — pivot tables, multi-sheet reconciliation models, variance analysis

• Experience with any Core Banking System (Bank One or similar)

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; part-ICAN / ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
