Mr. Babatope Davies is an astute finance professional with over 19 years of experience in Nigeria’s investment banking industry, bringing deep expertise in corporate finance, financial advisory, investment banking, transaction management, and project finance. His career spans key roles at SIAO Chartered Accountants, FBN Capital Markets Limited, Radix Capital Partners Limited, First City Monument Bank Limited, FCMB Capital Markets Limited, and Stanbic IBTC Capital Limited, where he served as Vice President within the investment banking team.
Over the years, Babatope has led and executed landmark transactions, including multi-million-dollar refinancing facilities for leading private equity funds, real estate income and development companies, as well as structured debt financing for major corporates and financial institutions.
He has advised on major capital market, financing and M&A transactions, spanning industries such as real estate, utilities, logistics, consumer goods, financial services, oil & gas, and state governments. His work has cut across diverse instruments including bonds, commercial papers, private placements, project finance, and equity raises. Through these mandates, he has consistently enabled corporates, financial institutions, and public sector entities to access long-term financing, strengthen their balance sheets, and deliver sustainable growth across multiple sectors.
A result-driven leader, Babatope has consistently combined technical excellence with strategic oversight, engaging with lenders, investors, and regulators to deliver seamless deal structuring and execution. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA). He also holds an M.Sc. in Professional Accountancy from the University of London, United Kingdom, and a B.Sc. in Economics (Hons.) from Lagos State University.
In his current role as Group Chief Operating Officer at WealthBridge, Babatope directs overall business development, supervises deal origination and structuring, manages key client relationships, and drives innovation across investment banking operations, ensuring sustainable growth and exceptional value creation.
